Good chilly morning. It’s a cold start to the Alachua County Farmers’ Market, but at least the sun’s shining.
More cool season plants for you today: Swiss chard “Bright Lights” is edible, but I love to use it as an ornamental because of its beautiful colored stems and veins. Snapdragons, violas, delphinium, sweet alyssum, pansies, and mints (spearmint, peppermint, apple mint, pineapple mint, mojito mint).
Good morning! Guess what … it’s cool season annual time already. I have snapdragons, sweet alyssum, pansies, delphinium, and violas ready to go home with you.
Isn’t the delphinium above beautiful! It’s “Blue Butterfly”, a smaller growing delph to about 2′. Likes sun/part sun. Deadhead for continued blooms. The color is gorgeous: purple/blue with pinky splotches on the tips of the blooms.
3″ containers are $1.00 each and 4″ containers are $2.00 each.
I’m at Alachua County Farmers’ Market today till 1:00.
Cornstalks are in the house! Not just any ol’ cornstalks…these are huge cornstalks. Just $10 per bunch. Have five in stock, can get more if you need more. Haybales should be in Thursday.
Who’s ready for some pansies and violas??!! Today I got violas: solid yellow and solid purple, and pansies: white with blotch, yellow with blotch, yellow with purple wing, and solid deep blue. Pretty, pretty. Stop by this week to pick yours up!
