Botanical Name: Hydrangea quercifolia
Common Name: Oakleaf Hydrangea
Very pretty native shrub for your part sun to full shade garden. White cone-shaped flowers bloom in Summer that age to a pinkish color. One of the few Florida plants that give Fall color before dropping its leaves for the Winter. Slow growing to 6 – 10′ tall x 5-6′ wide. It’s a sprawling, informal shrub that does best unpruned except for occasional tidying up.
There are lots of different varieties available. Let me know if you’re looking for one in particular.
