Moths

What comes to mind when you think of moths? Brown, not so pretty bugs that fly around lights at night? In actuality, moths come in lots of different colors and even the caterpillars can be pretty unique. Moths are every bit as important as butterflies when it comes to pollination; moths just do all their work at night. Some plants are more fragrant at night so as to attract the moths. Light colored flowers, especially white, are very attractive to moths cause they’re easier to see at night.

This article about National Moth Week has pics of beautiful moths and caterpillars.

Garden Maintenance

Good news …I just signed a contract for a garden maintenance project on a beautiful little cottage garden! This client can’t get into the garden as much as she used to, so I’ll be doing all the work for her now. First up, I’ll do a major cleanup, pruning, and weeding. Then I’ll fungicide spray her roses once a week and do maintenance on the rest of the garden once a month.

The end goal of my garden maintenance is to have the plants looking as natural as possible. No shearing, unless you want that formal look. Pricing is dependent on size of the garden and scope of the work.

Need help in your garden? Well, just give me a call to set up a free consultation to see how I can bring beauty to your life through your garden.
