I love, love, love sweet alyssum, Lobularia maritima. It’s a beautiful little cool season annual that doesn’t stop blooming till it gets hot again. Great as a border plant in your garden beds, container plantings, and hanging baskets. It gets about 10″ tall with a trailing habit of about 1′. And, to make it an even cooler plant … it has a very sweet honey fragrance! What more could you want! I have them in 3″ containers for $1/each.
The pics show some ideas on how to use sweet alyssum. I especially love using sweet alyssum mixed with Swiss chard (I have that in stock also).
I’m at Alachua County Farmers’ Market today till 1:00.
Happy digging in the dirt …
