Dinner Plate Hibiscus

Is that pretty or what? It’s a hardy hibiscus aka dinner plate hibiscus, Hibiscus moscheutos. It’s called hardy hibiscus cause it’s a true perennial in this area, meaning it goes dormant in the winter and reliably comes back in the spring. The “dinner plate” name comes from the size of the blooms: this one’s almost 7″ wide, but they can get up to 12″. They grow 4-6′ tall and about 4′ wide. Sun to part sun is good for them. The blooms come in shades of white, pink, and red.

I have two left. 1-gallon, both white, $5.99 each.

Happy digging in the dirt …

  1. Jeanni, I think you will be open on Wednesday…do you have any Milkweed Plants in stock…or do you know when you might be getting shipment?  Let me know, and I hope to see you soon.  Thanks.
