Good Sunday afternoon. Other than being windy, it’s a beautiful day out.
So what do you do with your veggies and herbs when they start bolting? Do you pull them up and trash them? Here’s something to think about before you do that: Some herbs and veggies are host plants for butterfly caterpillars, some are nectar sources when they bloom, and some set seeds that the birds like to eat. Instead of trashing them, why not let them hang out, bloom, and go to seed. The wildlife in your garden will thank you.
I have a cart of herbs and veggies that have bolted and need a home. They’re only .25 each.
Happy digging in the dirt…
