Supermoon 2013

Don’t forget to wander outside tonight to take a look at the supermoon. The next one’s not supposed to happen until August 2014.

According to Wikipedia, “a supermoon is the coincidence of a full moon or a new moon with the closest approach the Moon makes to the Earth on its elliptical orbit, resulting in the largest apparent size of the moon’s disk as seen from Earth.” In other words, the moon’s gonna be pretty crazy big tonight. Cool.
