Good chilly morning to you!
The weatherman says it’s going to drop to about 43 degrees tonight and to about 47 degrees tomorrow night, along with 20 mph winds. Can you say windchill?? So be sure to bring in all those houseplants and tender tropicals that are on your front and back porches. For those tender tropicals in the ground, just throw a sheet or burlap or whatever you have on hand over them. No plastic though…plastic actually conducts the cold to the plant and hurts the plant more. Or, if the plant is small enough, build a cage around it (chicken wire, tomato cages, etc.) and fill the cage with leaves or pine straw. That’ll keep the plant nice and warm.

Please don’t forget about keeping your pets warm too. Look at it this way: if you don’t want to spend the night outside cause it’s too cold, then your dog or cat doesn’t want to either.
